BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers
About Course
National organizations have released interim guidance to offer extra protection for healthcare providers dealing with the impact of COVID-19. Keep an eye out for these updates throughout the course.
Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is one of the leading causes of death among adults in the U.S., but CPR can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival during an SCA emergency.
CPR combines chest compressions and breaths to keep blood flowing and deliver oxygen to the heart and brain. If started within 3 to 5 minutes of collapse, it boosts survival chances and reduces the risk of permanent damage.
This course is based on the latest 2020 Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) guidelines and is designed to help you build the skills needed to respond effectively in an emergency.
